Always a solid choice for London trips!

Unlike some other sites, I always find Visit Britain Shop super reliable. This time I was just browsing for the London Pass again, but I've bought attraction tickets here before. Their pricing is usually quite good, though I wish they'd send out promo codes more often! Still, it's my go-to.

solid for UK travel!

i usually book london stuff with viator or getyourguide but decided to try visit britain for my kew gardens tickets this time. the site was straightforward, found what i needed quickly. i was also looking at the britrail england pass and the savings are just built in, no special code needed there really which is different from other sites. got my tickets no problem, good experience overall. 🇬🇧

Cotswolds trip was great, Oyster card wait a bit long

got a Cotswolds day trip through them and it was fantastic, really good value compared to Viator or GetYourGuide. the only slight downer was waiting for my Oyster card to arrive by mail, took about 8 business days which felt a bit slow when planning a trip.

Always reliable for London attractions

Buying the Go City London Explorer Pass through Visit Britain Shop is my go-to for UK trips, much like I'd use Viator for European cities. This time, I needed to know how to activate my London Pass, which wasn't quite the same as the Explorer Pass I bought, but their customer service pointed me to the right resource quickly. I've found their pricing for things like the Sea Life London Aquarium to consistently be about 15-20% cheaper than buying directly at the gate, especially when they have their specific bundle codes. It's why I keep coming back – good value and reliable information every time.

Great way to see Scotland!

grabbed the BritRail Spirit of Scotland Pass last month and it worked out perfectly for my trip. i was a bit worried since i was already in the UK, but nope, no issues buying it online. it definitely saved me a good chunk of cash compared to individual tickets for all the train rides i took. also got my Edinburgh Castle tickets from them, which was super convenient to bundle. the site itself was easy enough to navigate, though i did have to dig a tiny bit for info on whether the pass covered specific routes. overall, solid value.

Decent, but mind the delivery time

Is the VisitBritain Shop really the official site? My Churchill War Rooms tickets arrived, but it took 8 days to get them after ordering, which was a bit stressful for our trip.

Consistent service for Oyster Card

This was my third time getting a Visitor Oyster Card from them, and the experience was consistent. Ordered it online, and it arrived within the expected timeframe, about a week each time. It's reliable for getting around London without hassle. I keep coming back because it's just so easy and I know what to expect. No surprises, which is good when you're planning a trip.

Detailed review of my Go City pass purchase

I purchased the Go City London Explorer Pass for a 7-day trip. The ordering process online was straightforward, and I received the digital pass via email within minutes. Activating it was simple through the app, which showed all the available attractions. I used it for Westminster Abbey, a Thames River cruise, and the Churchill War Rooms. Entry was smooth at all locations, just scanned the pass on my phone. The only minor inconvenience was checking individual attraction opening times, which wasn't always perfectly integrated with the pass app, so I had to double-check their official websites. Overall, it definitely saved me time and money compared to buying separate tickets. The pass information was clear on what was included and how to use it.

Got my Harry Potter tickets

Needed Harry Potter Studio Tour tickets for my niece's birthday. Found them here, got them without any fuss. The whole thing was pretty chill, no stress. Just printed them out and we were good to go. Saved me from hunting around other sites.

BritRail pass was convenient, but slow delivery

I bought a BritRail GB Pass for my trip across England and Scotland. It was super convenient once I had it, made train travel really easy. The website was clear enough. However, the delivery took longer than expected, about 8 business days to reach my address. I understand things can be slow, but a heads-up or faster shipping option would be good. Customer service was helpful when I inquired about the delay, though.

Anyone know if the London Pass is worth it compared to buying individual tickets? I'm planning on hitting like 4-5 major spots.

E Elena Walsh 3 weeks ago
Definitely worth it if you're doing a lot. I used it for the Tower, Westminster Abbey, and a couple others. Saved a decent amount.

It really depends on what you want to see. You gotta do the math for your specific itinerary. Sometimes it's cheaper to just get tickets for what you *really* want to do, especially if you're not rushing around all day.

Thinking of getting a BritRail pass, but I'm already in the UK. Can I still buy one, or is it only for people outside the country?

J June 1 month ago
Nah, you gotta buy it before you enter the UK. It's one of those rules. They check your passport sometimes too.

J Julia Kim 4 weeks ago
Pretty sure those are only for non-UK residents and have to be bought outside the UK. I remember looking into it when I was already there and couldn't get one. Had to just buy regular tickets.

What's the difference between the Visitor Oyster Card and a regular one you get in London? Should I just wait till I get there?

P Paula 1 month ago
The Visitor one you buy beforehand has a small activation fee, but it's pre-loaded. The regular one you get there requires a deposit. Functionally they're the same once you're using them.

J Josh 1 month ago
The Visitor Oyster Card has a non-refundable issue fee, usually like £5. The regular one has a refundable deposit. If you're only there for a short trip, getting the Visitor one ahead of time might be convenient so you hit the ground running. If you're staying longer or want the deposit back, just get one when you arrive.

Any discount codes floating around for the London Pass or anything? Planning a trip in July.

F Faith G. 3 weeks ago
They usually have discounts built into the passes themselves, like if you get a multi-day one. Haven't seen many actual coupon codes.

L Laura D. 3 weeks ago
I signed up for their newsletter once and got a small percentage off something, but it wasn't for the London Pass specifically. Most of their savings are from the bundles and passes, not separate codes.

Does anyone know if the student discount applies to the London Pass? I'm trying to save some money.

L Lisa E. 2 weeks ago
I don't think the London Pass itself has a specific student discount through them. The savings are usually from the pass bundling attractions.
1
T Tom 1 week ago
I looked into that too, and usually, the London Pass's main discount is just the savings from not buying individual tickets. Sometimes specific attractions might have student rates if you buy direct, but not really through the pass itself.
